Sugared Pecans

Great for a holiday snack platter, works well in a treat mix, or a delight to simply snack on.


Ingredients




Process

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F

  2. Beat the egg white and water into a froth

  3. In a large ziplock bag, combine the sugar, salt, and cinnamon.

  4. Combine the pecans and the egg froth (in the same bowl works fine, or in another plastic bag) until the pecans are coated

  5. put the coated pecans (but not any extra egg froth) into the bag of sugar, salt, and cinnamon. Shake well until the pecans are fully coated.

  6. Place on well-greased baking sheet. Bake 40 minutes or until the egg white is dry, stirring every 10 minutes. Cool on waxed paper.
