Chocolate Fluff Pie

Originally titled "German's Sweet Chocolate Pie," from the Baker's German Chocolate packaging. A personal favorite, so much so it's routinely demanded as the sweet of choice instead of birthday cake.

Process

  1. Heat together the chocolate bar and 2 tablespoons of the milk, until chocolate is melted.

  2. Beat cream cheese until fluffy, adding optional sugar if using.

  3. Beat chocolate mixture into cream cheese mixture, continuing to mix until smooth.

  4. Fold in Cool Whip until just mixed, and spoon into crust. Optionally, top with fresh strawberries and/or chocolate curls or chips.

  5. Freeze until set; all day or overnight. Remove from freezer into fridge about half an hour before serving.
