Chocolate Fluff Pie
Originally titled "German's Sweet Chocolate Pie," from the Baker's German Chocolate packaging. A personal favorite, so much so it's routinely demanded as the sweet of choice instead of birthday cake.
Required Ingredients
- 4 oz bar Baker's German Sweet Chocolate
- 1/3 cup milk
- 8 oz tub of cool whip
- 3 oz cream cheese, softened
- premade packaged Oreo or graham cracker crust
Optional Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons sugar (makes it slightly sweeter and less tangy)
- fresh sliced strawberries
- chocolate curls or mini chocolate chips
Process
- Heat together the chocolate bar and 2 tablespoons of the milk, until chocolate is melted.
- Beat cream cheese until fluffy, adding optional sugar if using.
- Beat chocolate mixture into cream cheese mixture, continuing to mix until smooth.
- Fold in Cool Whip until just mixed, and spoon into crust. Optionally, top with fresh strawberries and/or chocolate curls or chips.
- Freeze until set; all day or overnight. Remove from freezer into fridge about half an hour before serving.
